What the conversation covers

Why everyone, including the people closest to a case, should stay patient while the facts come out
Whether public perception gets ahead of an investigation
Why letting the facts come out slowly, in a courtroom, is the whole point of a fair trial

Why this conversation matters

When a case breaks, the first version of the story travels fastest, long before investigators or a court have tested anything. Cole knows from experience how hard that first impression is to undo. That is why he urges patience and the presumption of innocence while the legal process runs its course.
